(5/27/09) Fairfax Connector - Despite significant efforts by community member Paul Dwyer, the bus route servicing Mount Air remains scheduled for termination on June 28th. Please read the final response to requests to save the bus route from Fairfax County Supervisor Jeffrey McKay.
(5/1/2009) 2009 Parking Tags are now being enforced. Cars without tags are being towed. If you did not respond to the previous mailed notifications to register your vehicle and the flyer delivered to each home in the community and are in need of tags, please contact Genus at 703-321-0007 and submit a 2009 Vehicle Registration Form.
(5/1/2009) Fairfax Connector announced that with the adoption of the fiscal year 2010 budget, the Island Creek Line (Rt 303) servicing Mount Air will be discontinued on Sunday, June 28, 2009. You may find additional information at the Fairfax Connector site.
(3/22/2009) The new community parking passes have not yet been distributed to the community. A new deadline for enforcement will not be set until the board of directors is assured that all new passes have been distributed.
(2/23/2009) Due to printing and delivery delays for the 2009 parking passes, the 2009 passes will not be required until Monday, March 16th, 2009. If you haven't yet requested your 2009 passes, please do so now. Applications are available under the Vehicle Registration section of the website.
(2/23/2009) At the March Board of Dirctors meeting, we will be joined by PFC Julia Bauer of the Franconia Police Station's Crime Prevention unit. Officer Bauer will be discussing the neighborhood watch program and other crime prevention measures that can be taken in the community to enhance our common safety and security. (2/09/2009) Annual parking pass renewal is now underway. New parking passes are required after March 1, 2009. Be sure to send your application for new parking passes in now to delays. Applications are available under the Vehicle Registration section of the website.

We do not currently have a member on the Fairfax County/Franconia District Station Citizen's Advisory Committee or Neighborhood Watch. If you have a desire to volunteer within the community, this is an excellent opportunity to fill a critical need and have a beneficial impact on the community. Please contact any board member if interested.
