NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

Mount Air Neighborhood Watch is a passive neighborhood watch program. All residents should be alert to possible crime and should report the following type of incidents to Fairfax County Police dispatch non-emergency number, 703-691-2131:

1. Any suspicious activity when you see it. Try to give the police as much information as possible. DO NOT walk up to suspicious persons and inquire as to their business.
2. Vandalism, even if you did not see it happen, nor know who did it. This is important to police, who must be informed of the neighborhood's crime trend.
3. Crimes in progress.

Residents can help Police and Neighborhood Watch by performing the following:

1. Keep your eyes and ears open and report suspicious activity to the police.
2. As you come and go, look around the area. Don't always us the same parking area. Check the area before exiting your vehicle.
3. Get to know your neighbors so that you will be aware of anything unusual.
