(1/1/2008) The community trash pickup fees have increased due to residents dumping construction materials, furniture, and appliances in the common areas. The community trash pickup is intended for regular household trash and yard waste (grass clippings, leaves, brush and branches.) Other materials are not covered and cost the entire community extra when placed for pickup.
To dispose of unusual materials such as construction materials, furniture, appliances, paints, etc, you may either contact Nightingale Trucking and arrange for a special pickup or take the materials to the Fairfax County I-95 Citizen’s Recycling and Disposal Facility.
The association will be making an effort to find out who is dumping the irregular materials and will charge them for the pickup.
